5 Fall Staples You Need in Your Closet

My favorite season is and will always be fall. There’s something about leaves changing colors and weather getting chilly that gets to me. Other than the weather, the fall style excites me the most. Over the years, I had my share of buying fall trends but there are some pieces I continue to wear over and over again. Below are my top 5 fall staples I continue to wear every fall. Let’s have a look at them below:

1. High rise jeans

High-rise jeans have totally changed my style game. I am 5′ 2″ and I wear them any chance I get to elongate my look. They are perfect to pair with sweaters, cardigan, leather jackets, blazers, and coats (which are all fall pieces). I love how high-rise jeans come in so much variety. You will see me wearing flare jeans, fitted jeans, wide-leg jeans, and any style that basically comes with high rise jeans. My absolute favorite brands for jeans are Levi’s, Agolde, and Rag & Bone.

2. Leather Moto Jackets

This is my third year wearing leather in fall/winter but the big difference is that all leather jackets are cropped. I am not complaining because cropped tops/jackets go perfectly with high rise jeans. One thing I have learned about leather is that it will never go out of style. So if don’t already have leather then you should!

3. Dresses

Dresses are perfect for fall but it’s important to not confuse them with summer dresses. Fall dresses will either be on the warm tone or cool tone. Maxi fall dresses usually have slit cut so you can show off your fall boots as well. A perfect way to wear them is with boots and leather jackets this season.

4. Blazers

It took me time to get used to blazers. Growing up, I always associated blazers on women working in the corporate world but I was wrong. They don’t have to go with dress pants but can go with anything. That’s what I love about fashion. With a good fashion sense, you can pull of anything with blazers. I love wearing them in fall and they are perfect to wear at office, evening events, or even a fancy dine out.

5. Ankle Boots

Lastly, ankle boots are a must. As soon as I hit August of every year, I pull out my ankle boots because I know I will be wearing them for a while. As compared to knee high boots or long boots, I just find ankle boots so much more comfortable.
