Just like any season, it can be overwhelming to decide which pieces you actually need for fall. Some pieces look catchy but it doesn’t mean you need them. Over my years of experience, I have learned to find my fall staples and get them out of my closet every year. These pieces are timeless, modernistic, and will always be worn in fall. To save you time, here are 5 fall staples that you should have to update your fall closet:

1. Cozy Knit Sweater

It’s kind of a given but some may debate sweaters for winter. I live in Canada and it gets chilly faster and thus, would make this a vital staple. It’s been lately getting chilly indoors and nothing beats the cold like a cozy knit sweater and hot chocolate.

2. Ankle Booties

Ankle boots would certainly rank high on the fall staples list. They are not only warm but fashion-forward as well. Ankle boots are the easiest piece to add when getting the outfit together. They can be worn with everything; skirt, dress, jeans, overalls, etc. They work for any fall occasion!

3. Moto Jacket

I love a good moto jacket and they are a perfect fall transitional piece. Some coats or jackets may be too warm for fall and that’s where moto jacket sweeps in to save the look. It not only looks cool but is easy to pair with so many looks.

4. Pantyhose

Don’t put away your summer dresses yet! They can still be worn when it gets a little colder by pairing them with pantyhose. Pantyhose will keep your legs warm and are perfect to wear at evening events or Saturday nights. Whether it’s a skirt or dress, you can certainly rock the them in fall.

5. Jeans

I didn’t specify the type of jeans as they are personal to every individual. I personally love flare jeans, high-waisted straight jeans, and boyfriend jeans. You guys will literally see me wearing them on repeat all the time. I love jeans all seasons round but especially in fall as they are the easiest way to rock the looks.
