My honeymoon was one of the best vacations I have ever had. We touched 3 continents in 3 weeks and explored so much before starting our journey together. We booked our Honeymoon 4-5 months before the travel and were luckily able to get all the best spots. While it was Sarmad’s idea to explore Asia, I was more fixated on Dubai. So we decided to make a trip to both countries plus made a short visit to Europe’s very own romantic city Paris. This was back in August 2015. Now when I look back, it’s important to me to document the journey on my blog. Let’s have a look at my honeymoon guide and the hotels I stayed at.
1 – LOCATION: BANGKOK, THAILAND
HOTEL: Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit
HIGHLIGHTS: Marriot Hotel, Safari World, Pratunam Market, Siam Discovery Mall
THOUGHTS:
We stayed in Bangkok for 2 days. The first day was spent touring the city and visiting malls. The second day was spent at the zoo and the safari world. Our Marriot hotel stay gave us access to the gym, indoor pools, breakfast menu and we were also surprised by a honeymoon treat upon our arrival. Marriot hotel is a definite recommend!
2 – LOCATION: KOI SAMUI, THAILAND
HOTEL: ShaSa Resort and Residences
Highlights: Canopy Adventures, Secret Falls, Chaweng Noi Beach, Big Buddha, Choeng Mon Beach
THOUGHTS:
We stayed at the ShaSa Resort in Koi Samui (Which was basically our main Honeymoon destination) and overall loved the experience. Our view was beautiful and I woke up to that every day for 10 days. Our room was basically a small apartment that had a full kitchen, living room, and the bedroom. While we didn’t cook much, it was good to have some utensils (in case we would need it). This was basically the relaxing part of our honeymoon. We enjoyed massages, beaches and did small adventures. I would love to go back there again.
3 – LOCATION: DUBAI, UAE
HOTEL: Shangri-La Hotel
Highlights: The Dubai Mall, Dubai Spice Souk, Desert Safari
THOUGHTS:
We were in Dubai for 2 days. There is so much to do in Dubai but with limited time, we kept ourselves to what we had planned. The first day spent visiting Malls (you guys must know by now how much I love malls), Spice Souk and Gold Souk. The second day was all about desert safari. The desert safari included getting picked up from our hotel, jeep ride into the desert, belly dance and dinner. Our stay at Shangri-la was amazing, we were surprised again by a double chocolate cake to congratulate us on our wedding. The breakfast menu downstairs was LOVE! The hotel is a definite recommend as well.

LOCATION: PARIS, FRANCE
HOTEL: NONE as we had an 8-hour stay between our connecting flights so we decided to catch a glimpse of Paris
Highlights: Effiel Tower
THOUGHTS:
Wish I had more time to explore Paris but this was still a good start. My focus in those 8 hours was to catch a glimpse of Effiel Tower. We took the subway to our destination at 5:30 am in the morning and to my surprise, there was still a line up to get up to the Eiffel Tower. We had breakfast by a small coffee shop, got the view we came for and left to catch our flight.
You two are so adorable!
