When it comes to investment pieces, I am all in! I like to buy pieces as I go but I am a high believer of quality over quantity. In my early 20s, when I was just starting out, I invested a lot into pieces that I will never wear now. Those clothes and accessories lacked quality and some would go bad after the first washing.
Now I like to save up for investment pieces that will last me for a long time (maybe years). An investment piece is a designer item that lasts longer and has value to it. You can keep coming back to restyle them. Keep reading below to find out which investment pieces you should have in your closet:
Investment Pieces You Need in Your Closet
I am a sucker for coats and I love collecting them. Every fall and winter, I restyle my coats and basically, I use them if they are trending that season. I mainly collect long (up till knee) coats. See some of my favorites below:
I started out with my first designer bag about 2 years ago. I had my eye on the Louis Vuitton Monogram Neverfull MM for the longest time and finally bought it to start my collection. Since then, I continue to save up as I go. Not that I am planning to resell my collection, these handbags have a value that can be sold for the portion of its original value.
I prefer collecting luxury accessories over shoes at any time. I highly believe that accessories complete the look and what’s a better way to complete your look than with luxury belts, scarfs, pins, etc.
I will be honest! I haven’t invested in expensive shoes yet as they are more prone to getting scratches and tears. Nevertheless, they are still gorgeous to look at. If you are a shoe fanatic, nothing can stop you from buying them.
